Biography

The Jennifers were a short-lived British rock group, formed of vocalist Gaz Coombes, guitarist Nic Goffey, drummer Danny Goffey and bassist Andy Davies. The band had limited success, only releasing one single “Just Got Back Today” on Nude Records in 1992, which is now a highly sought after rarity. Shortly splitting up afterwards, Gaz and Danny made a pact to carry on their songwriting partnership, and with Mick Quinn, would soon form successful Britpop band Supergrass. Nic formed a directing partnership with friend Dom, and together they now direct music videos (including many videos for Supergrass themselves).

An un-related American band called “The Jennifers” was formed in Baltimore, Maryland around the same time in 1992, and are still playing today.
