A band that never quite was. Unsigned progressive instrumental lo-fi trio originally based north of Toronto ON, CA consisting of Darren Fajcz (rhythm guitar, occasional bass, ridiculousness, sporadic drums), Rob Campbell (bass, drums, belly laughs, occasional guitar), Chris Harris (lead & rhythm guitar, copious ingestion of soluble fluids, mucho inspiration) and several session musicians. Their one and only album “Drag” never saw the light of day as it remains uncompleted. Lyrics were written for many of the songs by Campbell and Harris, but were never transposed to the melodies. The 4-track instrumental demos have surfaced on the internet and demonstrate a marked progressive influence while retaining a solid melodic rock n’ roll base, with a touch of jazz fusion. The main songwriters were Fajcz and Campbell until the dissolution of the group in 2004. Key songs include “Crowdsurfing”, “Hallucination”, “Dave”, “Phil Spydermann”, “Ferret On A Double Espresso”, “Weekend In The Suburbs”, “Floor 105” (about one man’s perspective of September 11th as his last day on earth, lyrics by Campbell), “Poor Dog”, “Reggae Thang” and the tour de force “The Inevitability Spiral” showcasing Fajcz’s penchant for reverb-drenched delayed rhythm guitar.
