You could try to describe the sound of the five eclectic musical backgrounds melding together to become what is Make Your Exit with fancy words and hyperbole… but the overbearing fact of their music is that it’s simply honest.
Double Me is one guy in a bedroom studio piled with various instruments and a carpet made of guitar cables. He was born and raised in Chicago, in a house that was a hangout for a few local folk musicians. So naturally he started banging on various instruments, and finally started rocking a 3/4 size Peavey Electric.
Two dudes. In a band. Highly unoriginal. But from modest bedroom recordings in Harlem sprung two voice boxes, a keyboard, an acoustic guitar, shakers, handclaps, and the occasional overflowing conversation. It’s rawer than sushi and mellower than marshmallows.
There are more than one band called The Silver: 1)Driven by charging bass lines, lit by jarringly harmonized guitars, and suffused with plaintive, floating vocals, The Silver plays songs that pound and flicker, that ebb and explode.
Numbers Game is a magical, mystical band formed by magical mystical Doc. It was formed maybe a year or two ago (2008-2009). Its hard to say now. Doc had been hard at work at the new Noise Tank (lovesyou) album. He is from Detroit, but is now firmly in San Francisco, a magical mystical city built in the clouds on a foundation of dreams. Then so it was, Numbers Game.
