The universe of The Ideal husband is based on 60s hawaiian music. The composer found her inspiration in the sound of Ry Cooder and Gabby Pahinui, Sol Hoopii,… Surfing on a wave, Ideal husband offers pop lullabies in a magical world. Yet in the lyrics there is a presence of deep melancholy. The contrast is masked from the suave singing. The sunny Album “No bye no Aloha” propose sweet urban ballads for quiet moments coloured by lapsteel guitars and ukuleles. Ideal husband want to spread happiness trough a positive and peacefull music. The whole project is initiated by belgian Sandrine Collard who in 2002 gave out the album ”Je communique”,pop/electronic (EMI music Belgium). She produced the album with Dan Lacksman (Telex, Deep forest) in the studio Synsound. 2005,in Brussels, she met the voice of the swedish dancer Louise Peterhoff (Jan Fabre, Jan lauwers,…). She found a fantastic musician Benjamin Clement who took directly the good way to arrange her music. Sandrine produced the album in Sumostudio with Julien Paschal (Sharko). Boris Gronemberger came to play the vibraphone and Françoiz Breut to do backing vocals. Jacques Duvall (songwriter for Alain chamfort, Lio,…) joined to sing a duett.
