was listening to strange house yesterday and honestly, it was okay but I wasn't impressed really. probably it was just too dark for me. this one is really a lot more accessible, first listen and I like it a lot already. so I guess the next to do now ist listening to their eponymous EP and primary colours. really digging the shoegaze genre lately so I hope primary colours is going to be awesome.

After about 15 runs of this album I think I finally "get" it. Amazing stuff. I can easily remember the names of my favorite tracks but for the rest I'm completely lost. When I play those 'forgotten' tracks however, I'm instantly brought back and I remember them. Strange, even though each track is very unique, they somehow all form a big swirling ocean of ideas and themes. Once I realized this, the cover made so much more sense to me.

in fact, my problem with this one is that it sounds like a bad version of primary colours, or at least a worse one. but then again, i might just need to listen to it more.

Skying is different than both previous albums, but it is definitely a Horrors album. It's funny though... bands get shit for making the same album over and over but the Horrors seem to get shit for making a different album each time.

It doesn't matter what review it gets from an individual representing a site, it matters what you think of the record. Personally, I love it.

that 7.5 is just so wrong tho. But then again, so was the 7.6 for Primary Colors. I prefer this to Bon Iver and that James Blake fella, thank you very much.
