    Yeah the song with The Hold Steady songs with prominent backup vocals are always my favorite... Finn's voice needs some more melodic stuff in the background to counter his umm...gruffness. I actually do like his voice, but backup is key for The Hold Steady.

    I've heard that THS is terrible live so it doesn't surprise me. It definitely doesn't diminish how good Boys and Girls in America is though.

    i sorta agree with indiekook, just not exactly. art brut and 1990s kicked ass, but the hold steady was quite excellent as well... just not as much so.
