Dapto, Australia (1987-2002)
The Headbutting Priests were Dapto's premiere (and only) comedy band for 15 years. Consisting of Mad Matthew (vocals, guitars, harmonica), Zany Shaney (vocals, keyboards, ukulele) and Chatter Pal (drums, backing vocals) they had a cult following in the Wollongong area with their song "I lost my baby on the 5.09 train to Kiama" being the most requested song on local radio. From 1998-2002 they hosted the radio show "Squid" on 2VOXFM. Zany Shaney subsequently became a comedian and has performed HP songs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
