Sheldon Shelley Ganz embodies the missing link between the sixties sound and the garage revival: his uncompromising music is able to compete in originality with the Chocolate Watch Band, Count Five, Music Machine, Seeds, Shadows of Knight, Standells and Syndicate of Sound without any reverential fear.
According to the Searchin' For Shakes database there are four garage groups called The Aardvarks.
1) One of the three US groups of this name were from Muskegon and released a few singles in the 60's. Probably their most well-known is the blazing garage-psych tune "I'm Higher Than I'm Down", included on many comps (most notably Pebbles Vol 11).
There are three bands under the name of Lipstick Killers:
1. A Sydney band that sprung from the Psycho Surgeons in the late '70s. They played raw high-energy rock that was influenced by '60s Detroit rock.
"The Point" could be one of the following bands: 1. The Point is a side project by the Hellacopters' Nicke Andersson, and Canadian rock singer-songwriter Neil Leyton. To date they have recorded a 7" single, Give It a Try.
