Biography

The Golden Strands are an indie/rock/electro band from the Isle Of Wight, featuring female and male vocals. They merge diverse influences ranging from Muse, to Nick Cave and Stevie Wonder, to create a sexy, dirty and vibrant sound.

They have been gigging around the island and south coast for the past few years, including headlining at The Joiners Arms in Southampton, appearing in the finals of Live/Wired 2010, Bestival 2011 and 2012, VDub Festival 2012, and two performances at Ventnor Fringe 2012. They have also featured regularly on Isle Of Wight Radios Live and Local show with Glyn Taylor, and Headfunks show on Vectis Radio.

The band released an EP in 2011, and are now set to release their debut album, recorded at Skinny Mammoth studios, and are planning a huge release party which will also showcase the Isle Of Wights finest up and coming bands and DJ’s.
