The band was formed in late 2010 after Jon Brookes of The Charlatans introduced Starling to drummer Ian Palmer. Guitarist Dan Whiffin and keyboardists Rayna Ferner and Alex Sharman were later added.The band’s debut album, The End, was released in 2012.
