From Britain to Bologna and Berlin, The Gecko is creeping across Europe.

The Cure meets Kraftwerk & the Killers. Dancy and atmospheric tracks created with melodic British vocals and electronic Berlin flare. The punchy Mini Moog bass, fluid keyboards, catchy guitar hooks and rolling beats make your feet move and your ears tingle.

While Espin, the British lead singer, was living in Italy in 2003 he stood with his brother over looking a stream where their Grandfather had successfully avoided capture in the second world war. They were watching a gecko run over the bridge when it miss-judged the edge and fell to its death in the water below. It lay on its back lifeless. The brothers silently pondered the cycle of life. Amazingly, after half a minute of staring at its dead body they saw it wriggle suddenly. It came back to life and swam to the shore. They were impressed and Espin named his new electronic guitar project The Gecko.

However, not so long ago The Gecko also looked like it was dead in the water.

The band had been founded with Moritz, a charismatic but unpredictable German/Sicilian guitar player and producer. It moved to Berlin where Moritz was based and Carsten joined The Gecko.
