Biography
Guy G. Gorman and G-Men (formerly the G-Men or The G-Men RVA) prefer their music on vinyl, Their musical neighborhood is located somewhere near the intersection of rockabilly, country, polka and early sixties rock and roll. Elvis, Cliff Gallup, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Jonathan Richman, and the Beatles are among their many heroes. They strive to sound new yet familiar at the same time.
The G-Men’s “Turn on the Twirl,” is the theme song for the weekly Twirl radio show.
“Turn on the Twirl” is from the band’s album, “New and Improved.” “New and Improved” features lead guitar and bass by Jimmy Catlett whose music can be heard here on Last.fm.
In January 2013 after a long dispute among the members, the band officially changed its name to Guy G. Gorman and the G-Men.
In February 2013 the band released a remixed version of “The Roswell Rock.” It can be heard here on Last.fm. It is also available at CD Baby, iTunes, Spotify, and many other places.
In April 2013 the band relased “A Rollicking Good Time” It can be heard here on Last.fm. It is also available at CD Baby, iTunes, Spotify, and many other places. The tracks “I Wash the Dishes” and “Wishful Drinking” feature the lead guitar of Jim Wark who has played with the The Taters and their side project, the Rock and Roll Revue.
