The Fright was formed by Lon, Kain and Noiseferatu in 2002. Their early inspirations included Misfits, Samhain and Danzig. From the beginning they wrote their own material.

In March 2003 they played their first show. After a few concerts and a lot of practice, in the end of 2003, they started recording the “7 Of The Blackest Songs On Earth” CD. It was recorded live in only 1 day, but nevertheless their reputation grew and a lot of good comments were granted by fiends all over the world.
In summer 2004, The Fright got an offer to release some songs on different samplers, so 3 new songs were recorded. Unfortunately Noiseferatu was at the end of his musical abilities. That led to tensions in the band and he had to leave.

In the end of September 2004 a new drummer, Seares, joined the band. After 3 weeks, on 22nd October, the first show was played with The Other and The Crimson Ghosts at a horror punk festival in Oberhausen.

In the end of 2005 four new tracks were recorded. They were supposed to be released at the beginning of 2006, but eventually were used only as demos. In the following year new songs were written, but the band’s activity came to a standstill and the tour planned for February 2006 was cancelled on short notice.

At the beginning of 2007 the band changed their agency to “Rock it Baby”. They started playing gigs again and began recording new songs for the album.

Their first album “Dacabre” was released in October 2007 by Contra-Light-Records. In May 2008 it started being distributed abroad by New Music Distribution. The band began working on the new album in August 2008 and in 2009 it was released under the name “Born to Be Dead”.

In 2010 the band played their first European tour together with Ghoultown. By this time a new guitar player, Danny, joined the band.

In 2012 they signed to a German horror punk label Fiend Force Records and in May they released their third album entitled “The Fright”.

In January/February 2013 they played 7 shows in Germany with The 69 Eyes. And in April they played again 3 concerts together in Poland.

Until now the band played also shows with numerous bands including Hardcore Superstar, Crazy Lixx, Sister Balzac, Blitzkid, Sex Slaves, Babylon Bombs, Lacrimas Profundere.
