1) JR Pirollo And The 4 J’s originated in the later 1950’s and had thier first taste of success almost immediately. Upon winning a local talent contest, they were approached by Buddy Greco, who later became thier manager. Greco got the group thier first recording contract with United Artist Records in 1958. The group has had numerous appearannces on Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand” and over the years have recorded a variety of songs. … The Fabulous 4J’s have been in the mainstream of the rock and roll industry for many years. They have been inspired by and performed with many of thier South Philly buddies including: Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Chubbie Checker and especially Fabian. … For years, The Fabulous 4J’s were a main stay with Fabian. The sang background on a number of his recordings and have performed with him all over the world. At that time, the group was know as the “Fabulous Four” and played a major part in a number of Fabian’s gold and platinum records. … Back in the 90’s the group began to make appearences once again not to forget thier thier original street corner harmonics. They had successful appearences at The Beach Fest in Atlantic City, The Meadowlands in New York and also at the CoreStates Center in Philadelphia on April 9, 1998, and proved that they still had their old magic. Since then they occassionally perform for special festivals and occassions.
2) Girl Group 1958-1963 made 2 singles.
