The Sparrow Looks Up at the Machine (4:10)

Cover of Embryonic

From Embryonic and 1 other release

Wayne Coyne: “A simple rhythmic mantra about the meaning of the concepts of power and submission and nature vs. technology – but not for defiant reasons – to be in awe of things that have power; even if it has the power to control you. To mentally get past the fear of being dominated and to embrace the realization of our helplessness.”

Great song. I don't get much into their other stuff (musically they make me want to listen to Beck instead) but this song is gorgeously otherworldly.

An absolute sleeper jam. I have managed to forget how incredible this song is countless times; it hits like the first time every time, and that means HARD.

Haha.. That's so evil! I bought it on vinyl and it came with a full copy of the CD, which I ripped to listen to on my iPod. I had to bust out the CD again tonight for comparison because the cell phone noise made me think I had somehow botched the rip.
