I just listened to the whole track for the fourth time. I've now come to the conclusion that it is bookended by truly beautiful melodies, but is otherwise quite useless. The only reason to repeat the same sounds for 7 hours on end is just so you can say you recorded a 24-hour song.

Someone said there's no flac of this, it was an mp3 only release. Not true - it was released with 3 files/formats: 320 MP3, 16 bit WAV, and 24 bit WAV. I like the track a lot. But I'm a fan of drone/ambient/experimental.

I have a hard time taking 24 hours out to listen to this. Will try one hour per day for 24 days.

Wayne Coyne is friends with Clayton Counts of Bull of Heaven... I guess stuff like this and Strobo Trip is proof of that influence seeping in ;]

It should have lasted 60, maximum 90 minutes. It would have been an amazing, epic track then, probably one of the best in its genre. Forcing it to be 24 hours long, with some parts that repeat the same pattern for 1-2 hours, is just stupid, and boring.

Wow. I just finished listening to it in one listen. What a trip! Sure, it's not the greatest track ever, but I certainly don't regret taking the time to listen to it. There's lots of interesting content in here. A lot of it is repetitive and some is boring, but I think it all adds to the atmosphere.

19 1/2 hours in. Only my stubbornness is making me finish this. This is total shit - only a few good bits and many, MANY hours of crap. I actually decided to stop being a FL fan, so to double check I went through their back catalogue again and realised I still loved them. Not this though - this is just a stupid idea.

Well on the other hand, I actually was expecting for something like 24-hour Gy!be song. My fault.

heard 4 hours of it and it sucks. really boring, monotonic, repitative. Couple of random jams with no idea...

There has been no flac version released. The chrome-dipped skulls contained a hard drive with a 320 kbps mp3 file. That is the only release.

I love starting this song up at a random point and just letting it play for hours.
