  • fucking class ......
  • In Edinburgh I stayed on my own for a few days, wandering about in the, er, pissing rain, before the Queen Mother hit town.
  • saw mark E and the gang at a livid festival many moons made me smile :)))
  • When I say London I should say England.Or Great Britain.Or the UK.Sheesh.
  • The 'a part of America' version of theNWRA is the greatest opening track, certainly on any live album(including the MC5,Ramones etc.).The MC gets carried away with the 'from the riot torn city of Manchester' schtick.MES hated being called a Manchester band-15 miles is a long way in England-but whether spontaneous or otherwise they launch into a 5 minute Kazoo heavy intro(the Grotesque version is about 40 seconds) and then RIP the innards outta the song, the crowd, infinite space etc. They'd been getting a lot of punters turning up thinking 'new UK new wave band' and I'd suppose half the crowd left, the rest stayed indelibly marked. As someone from London I consider 'The Fall' until 83/84 the greatest gift we've bestowed on music.Certainly nothing coming up on the rails'.
  • Sooner rather than later, please.
