Without Marc Riley and less input from Brix than in succeeding albums, this album is completely dominated by Mark E. Smith. The drums follow the melody to an absurd amount as vanitycentral pointed out, and the lyrics are amazing. Great album.

This album has the best all the best factors of The Fall in it. Masked and ambiguous lyrics, rough and brash guitars, deep and streamline bass and drums that follow the rhythm of the melody, not the tempo. A reappearance of keyboards is especially welcome in my opinion, most definitely on Eat Y'Self Fitter.
