Once upon a time in a land far away (from the USA) there lived a band called The Fall. They proved moderately succesfull but hugely influential.

People compare Pavement to The Fall? How is that fair in any logically possible universe?

well i love both the fall and pavement.....obviously you can see that malkmus was influenced by the fall......not the other way round.......he was probably about 2 or 3 when this came out.

Hahahaha.... as much as I'm such a huge Pavement sucker, gotta give 'em The Fall the props they deserve - I hear Conduit for Sale as well as Hit the Plane Down on this one. Shame on both of you, Hazel Figurine & Spiral Stairs.

Well Wedding present covered Pavement (Box Elder) but I didnt know it went the other way around too. They did essentially cover this glorious tune though, clearly, blatantly, and superbly.

Please tell me that none of you actually think that the Fall ripped of Pavement.....PLEASE!!!!!!! As much as I liked them in college, you have to admit that Pavement was covering Wedding Present songs the same year they were released. Honoring your influences, or ripping them off for material, you decide.
