Two bands exist as The Explorers Club

1. The Explorers Club are an indie pop band out of Charleston, SC. They have a very distinctly Beach Boys influenced sound. They are released their debut full length titled “Freedom Wind” in May 2008 via Dead Oceans records.

2. On the Magna Carta label, it is a Progressive Rock adventure. Explorers Club on this expedition is:

Terry Bozzio, Billy Sheehan, Trent Gardner, Wayne Gardner, Brad Kaiser, James LaBrie, D.C. Cooper, Bret Douglas, Matt Bradley, John Petrucci, Steve Howe, Derek Sherinian, James Murphy, Michael Bemesderfer, Frederick Clarke, Matt Guillory.

Sounds more like post-Pet Sounds Beach Boys than the golden age. Still pretty decent though, I like the Phil Spector-esque drumming on a few songs.
