years ago i used to think this was the most powerful song ever. now i don't listen to post-rock that much anymore but it's still a masterpiece of the genre... has so much more to say than the average post-rock track

Not a song by these guys that isn't so, so cosmic. I miss them terribly.

Oh, how weirdly my life pauses for a good 10 minutes and I somehow foresee myself in a world I've never seen before. I love being trapped in this trance.. I could go on staying there forever..

This is a fabulous song that easily exceeds most of that dull post rock stuff out there.

I have been going through all my post-rock records for the past two days trying to remember the track that's been playing in my head... I finally found it...

There's something... ominous about this. I've always had the idea that a lot of post-rock is a representation of an idea, or rather, a truth about life. That truth being that there's an immensely vast darkness in life that seeps and permeates from everything, and that the masses almost seem to be trying to ignore it. We go to school so we can get good jobs that pay well so we can have nice things. We pay taxes, we conform to consumerism, we do a lot of things in the effort of gaining control over our lives to overcome this unignorable darkness. In the end though we all face the same truth. Whether this is making a mockery of this concept or not, I'd rather think of it as a brilliant expression of truth.
