Formed in Nashville in 1995, the alternative pop band the EvinRudes was led by vocalist Sherry Cothran and writer/guitarist Brian Reed. Debuting in early 1997 with a five-song EP, the group scored a local smash with the single "Drive Me Home," soon followed by the full-length Little Red Stars. Upon signing to major label Mercury, the EvinRudes resurfaced in 1998 with a self-titled effort.

  • I am crazy about your music and have been for years!
  • Jimmy's on Crack... My favorite.
  • Drive Me Home is still my favorite EvinRudes song. In 1996 (before that song came out), I was working at Kinko's on West End in Nashville in the graphics department, and I remember Brian and Sherry came in to have flyers done for an upcoming show. I got to work on it, and they put me on the guest list for the show. Was pretty awesome. I'm sad they never hit as big outside of Nashville.
