The Ettes is a name of at least two bands:
1) A Nashville, TN via Los Angeles, CA garage rock band.
2) An Edinburgh, Scotland all-girl punk rock trio.

1) A Nashville, TN via, Los Angeles, garage rock band (formed 2004), influenced by early punk, beat bands & country music. The band consists of Lindsay “Coco” Hames, Maria “Poni” Silver and Jeremy “Jem” Cohen. They have released four albums to date, “Shake the Dust” in 2006, “Look At Life Again Soon” in 2008, “Do You Want Power?” in 2009, and “Wicked Will” in 2011.

2) A three-piece all-girl punk band from Edinburgh, Scotland, formed in April 1979. They played eleven gigs, supporting Another Pretty Face, The Visitors, Shake and The Exploited, and also recorded a five track demo. They played their final gig on 22nd September 1979. Taken from their 1979 demo cassette, “A Conversation” appears on “Messthetics #105 DIY 77-81 Scotland vol 1”. The band reformed for the Fritz Van Helsing Memorial gig at Bannermans, Edinburgh, on 15 April 2012 where Anne, Teen and Trash were joined by Steve Fraser on guitar.
