The Elk Noize Johnson is a german Alternative-Band founded by Constantin Vaross (voice and Guitar), Philipp Grüneisen (Guitar), Franz Furtner (Bass), Nikolai Schreiter (Keyboards) and Philipp Fontaine (Drums) in the summer of 2003 in Munich. The band started under the name “Noize“.
In their founding days, they were all quite young,(14 years of age), so during the days of puberty they developed musically, and renamed themselves according to the new vibe of the band.

The influences of the band are several big bands out of the Alternativerock-scene, such as the Queens of the Stone Age, or the Pixies. If you can hear some attributes of these bands in the music of TENJ, is another question.
The Elk Noize Johnson doesn´t have a record deal, but they did several concerts and have already finished a bandcontest, ending up on first place.
They won one day in a studio. The results of that day are the three featured songs on this site.

This is pretty good! Specially "Dancing Like A Little Robot" is really great. the vocals reminded me a little bit of "iLiKETRAiNS". Looking forward to hear more by you guys.

Hi! I came to Munich few days ago and I'm curious about the local bands. So...Ay, have you got anything cool going on?)

Very nice stuff! Reminds me of Interpol but with more openness to explore other musical tangents. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Awesome. I totally didn't notice that these were all available for free download. Quite awesome.

Well, he also spammed the Foo Fighters page. "A little dancing robot" is quite ok.

I actually don't hate this. It's not exactly my style, and I'm kinda peeved that you spammed the APC page (but how else would I have listened to you, right?) I would make a track or two free to download.
