The Ecuador Three is a cover name for music released by Dave Dineen (once described by former Beatle Paul McCartney as a “massively talented boy-man with a gentle soul”) and occasional collaborators (all based in Dublin, Ireland), named after a small ‘three-man’ tent (model ‘Ecuador 3’). Current Ecuador Three material has been influenced by genres such as 60’s psychedelia, 70’s funk and Retro Sub Post Nu Jazz…

Born high in the Andes, Dave Dineen came across the concept of a guitar solo while on a foraging trip to a small village in the Ecuadorian lowlands. While on a raping/pillaging rampage, he heard for the first time the music of Mr Jimmy Page. That day would change his life forever, he gave up his job as an owl milker to go in search of fame and fortune in Ireland. Those who know him well will sometimes here him lament about those days by saying “The only thing sweeter than a good solo is the amber nectar that comes from a freshly squeezed owl”.
