The Dunwells are a British folk-rock band formed in Leeds, England in 2009. The group consists of Joseph Dunwell (vocals, guitar), David Dunwell (vocals, guitars, piano, banjo), Jonny Lamb (vocals, drums), Rob Clayton (bass, vocals), and Dave Hanson (lead guitar, vocals, pedal steel). [1]. The Dunwells released their debut single I Could Be a King in 2011, and their debut album Blind Sighted Faith in early 2012

The Dunwells’ seamless mixture of Celtic and American folk, rock, blues, Americana, pop, and soul combined with superb five-part vocal harmonies has gained much critical acclaim. After the release of Blind Sighted Faith, The Dunwells garnered high-profile fans, including Oscar-winning screenwriter/director Cameron Crowe and legendary English singer/songwriter Graham Nash. Rick Florino praised The Dunwells’ debut album as “a gorgeously organic offering rife with eloquent lyrics and elegant instrumentation…. Harmoniously haunting and musically divine, The Dunwells have fashioned a modern gem with Blind Sighted Faith.” [7] Music blog The Boot called The Dunwells “…a British spin on Americana music…rootsy songwriting that brings to mind the vocal harmonies of Crosby, Stills & Nash and Mumford and Sons.” [8]
