Biography

The Dreaming is an alternative rock band in the Hollywood area, founded in 2002 by Christopher Hall and Johnny Haro.

They have released 4 EPs (including acoustics and remixes), two demos and a full album. 31st of January 2008 they released their first full length album, “Etched In Blood” on their self-created label “Dream Corpse Records” (abbreviated as DC Records). A new full length album titled ‘Puppet” is set for a November 1st, 2011 release.

lol chris must hate life.... that the whoooooooole world says the same thing. lol. i too have to agree like any hardcore sw fan that sw>the dreaming. its not even an opinion its just fact. I admit i really liked the first version of beautiful... that song had the spirit of stabbing westward (the video version), but the rerecorded version for the final release and the rest of those songs just... werent great. its ok... id go see a live show.. especially given theres a chance to hear a sw track!! but like everyone else, i miss sw. did chris and andy have a falling out? or what happened anyways.. they were amazing. oh well new cd im sure will be, o k. :) cheers

honestly i thought that last Stabbing Westward CD -yes that much less metal stuff- was phenomenal. i mean i think Hall or whoever could try that stuff again, why not? i mean they don't have to go all out lovey-feely stuff again, but like the song "Wasted" or maybe "Television" from that self-titled CD, huh? dude, the song "Television" was insane! what i mean here is that maybe they could try like right IN BETWEEN that really dark -kinda depressing stuff in my opinion- old SW stuff and not as "wussily" soft -i guess like most big SW fans probly say- as most the self-titled stuff. how about like powerful energy with EDGE eh? lol this is gonna sound awfully bias but it's also that this emo thing they've had going on is just really not growing on me, u know? and i've known of SW and this band for years i've just got some firm belief that at least, i dunno SOMEBODY should try something progressing off that self-titled SW album, u know? i think the musical world NEEDS more stuff like that

being a stabbing westward fan i was hoping the best for these guys, their ep's were solid, when etched in blood came out, extremely disappointed in certain songs being omitted and the way they were mixed, i guess they want to fail on purpose, i stopped listening to them after etched in blood, just heard what do i have to do, i guess ill give the new album a chance, but im not expecting much

It's been noted that the album has been completed since mid-January and a release date should be arriving soon.
