At a time when rap was turning completely mindless in the early 90's, these guys, The Goats, PE, KRS1 all had songs that have some intelligence in their music.

It's imposible to find or upload on youtube songs of The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. It's too political or what?

Franti and tse are amizingly powerful. bringing together the sadness and anger to a new activation of oneself. saw them in london back in 91 after rodney king was beaten up by the cops. great stuff. check them out whereever they are.

Michael Franti is there to always remind me that not all Hip Hop has gone to hell. Met him briefly in the late 90's and he's one of the nicest guys I've met in the music industry, well mannered, well meaning, the world needs more of his kind.
