About this album

Accelerated Evolution was the first album by The Devin Townsend Band, released on March 31, 2003. Thematically, this album is about relationships (which was also the working title) and musically it’s more straightforward than Terria, similar to Biomech.

Really love this album, even if the snare sound makes it Devin's "St. Anger".

Ocean Machine is Devins best album, but this one comes pretty damn close!

I'd almost say that this is my favorite album by Devin Townsend, but most of his albums are made of pure awesomness.

Probably my favorite Devy album, but I always find myself wishing there were more tracks to it. :< [2]

Brilliant album, but not my personal favourite - the odd track, like the first, slightly miss the mark and don't send shivers down my spine the whole way through...the rest, however, do. Superb album, with some albums that blow you away even after your hundredth listen - a work of pure power and emotion, as all of Devin's stuff is...except his stuff with Strapping Young Lad, but that just blows you away with an RPG and finishes it with a sawn-off shotgun to the face anyway.

So I was on mushrooms looking at the cover of this album on my computer and said to myself that looks like a deadhead. (I don’t know why, it doesn’t. But I was on shrooms) so I opened it and there’s a song called deadhead, it blew my friggen mind.

Agreeing to nanjamonja below. This is the DTB's best album (and Terria is his best for DB). Great stuff from a great opener and more great tracks to follow, listen once and enjoy forever!

The best DTB album (since Terria is a solo record).
