The sixth song at the center of In Her Gentle Jaws, A Room, A Canvas tells the story of a doomed relationship that eventually comes crumbling apart as told through painting metaphors.

Notably, all the references to hues and colors mentioned in the lyrics (along with the sole instance in Digital Solace and the two instances in Nautilus) are all printed in reverse on the back side of the CD liner notes directly opposing their forward-reading counterparts on the page’s front, continuing the album’s central theme of color.
