Los Angeles, United States (2007 – present)

The Deepsea Goes is a Los Angeles, CA based / duo that formed in 2007. Their first releases were distributed throughout the greater Los Angeles area in anonymous manila envelopes with cryptic messages & a home address to write a letter to if you wanted to find out more. They were placed in clothing at thrift stores, bathrooms of prominent venues, magazines at supermarkets & used bins at record stores. Since then they’ve released 2 full lengths, a variety of EP’s & singles, & have toured the US multiple times. Their latest release, Worship the Future, firmly reestablishes the band’s existence while also pointing the way towards their future.

Worship the Future picks up where the last full-length release Oraoneiroi left off, but also walks through the door that was opened with the 2010 single All Is Ripe. Choosing to pull back where older songs would’ve pushed, Worship the Future showcases a new-found melodic sensibility for The Deepsea Goes. Songs are given more time to breathe & clearer dynamics allow the songs to ebb & flow towards their inevitable crescendos.
