The Dear Hunter, Providence, RI, is the full-time project of Casey Crescenzo, formerly of band The Receiving End of Sirens. The band got its name from the lead character of the story that he wrote to go along with the music. "I've liked these guys for awhile but for some reason I've only had Act III in my possession. Is it worth it to obtain the entire series?" --> Best musical investment you could make.

I've known this band for a time, but I only stopped to listen an entire album last month and oH BOY WHAT A JOY. Act IV got hold of my balls in a way of pure bliss... 'til I listenend to The Color Spectrum. I've never heard an album/collection/whatever where there is LITERALLY NO BAD SONGS. Not even weak songs, like-- what the fuck. I feel like my life is complete now. It's just too good, it's absurd. Ridiculous.

Casey is the only guy who can measure up to Arjen Anthony Lucassen and Roger Waters in rock operas! With how long the hiatus was in between act 3 and act 4, he has truly proven himself!

Yep the new act is definitely on par with the first 3. No drop in quality what so ever.

If you' re interested in the story of the wonderful new album, here's a lengthy review with my perception of it. Glad to hear any input or different ideas.

I wouldn't call a band that has sold out several shows "criminally under-appreciated"

Criminally under-appreciated band. I just hope the guys make enough to be happy and continue putting out gold for the rabid fans.

I am genuinely baffled that I wasn't able to get into these guys until recently. Everything they've released is fucking gold, even Migrant, which is easily the weakest yet still good in its own right. I'm glad I jumped in not too long after Act IV released, because it's amazing. A Night on the Town is probably one of the best songs I've heard in a long time.
