Biography

Hailing from the pulsing heart of downtown Toronto (Canada), The Davey Parker Radio Sound are equal parts revival and revolution. With a charged and inspired home brewed flavour, the sound of The DPRS is a mashup of 60's garage goodness and rock 'n roll rowdiness topped off with a dollop of savoury psychedelia.

The DPRS sound has been likened to everything from early Stones to 13th Floor Elevators to The Brian Jonestown Massacre. But you'll find it hard to place The DPRS neatly into a specific genre given the content presented.

'I Tasted Your Love,' the band's debut single, showcases their gritty, Southern-influenced, trademark guitar-driven sound. On 'Book Of Faces' the DPRS lets loose a raw mid-Sixties riff before dropping you into a trippy psychedelic world, then saving you from drowning and bringing you back to solid shores. 'I Paid For My Baby (One More Time)' is a straight-up blues rocker that highlights the band's tight delivery and electric energy. 'I Gotta Know' brings a surf rock element as well as the roller coaster peaks and valleys the band navigates so well, making sure you're on the tracks with them the whole way.

A DPRS show is an ironhorse ride from the American frontier through the heart of the sixties into the very NOW with a raunchy brand of rock 'n roll that is uniquely their own.

Know that when The DPRS come to town, they will give you all that they have. Know that what they have is served up hot like a ponderosa steak, licked with flames and heavy on the sizzle
