It's been 9 years since "Welcome to the Monkey House", which is a great album in my opinion. "This Machine" is quite a surprise, and the Dandys sound more mature. It's a good album, recommended! :)

@ButterBricks i totally feel you on everything u said. listening to the dandys just makes me like BJM that much more. dandys are just hit n miss like he said. they a whole lot of GREAT songs dont get me wrong, but most of the time they sound sleepy/bored/trying too hard at the same time

The Dandy Warhols are always hit and miss, so this is nothing new. All of their albums have some very good and some pretty bad songs, except the one with the banana on it, that one is all shit. This album is mostly miss but the first two songs and Wow Signal are very good.

yep, totally agree. first albums had this kind of grungie and druggy sound in them... thirteen tales was a good album too. Most of the songs on this album sound pretty gay to me. Nothing compared to the old stuff.
