Yay! After the last two albums I was slightly worried that is band is over (not that they were poor albums, but still they didn't "rule, ok?"), but "Distortland" is truly a super neat laid-back Dandy comeback! Aww yiss!
We chatted with Zia McCabe a few days after the band kicked off its new This Machine tour in San Francisco. Reaching the band’s 20th anniversary, McCabe, more than ever, is nervous about the reactions. Find out why on http://blog.eventseeker.com/2012/06/08/catching-up-with-zia-mccabe-of-the-dandy-warhols/
yeah, there's not much point in comparing them. it's like saying your organic beef jerky sucks, you need to have some gourmet filet mignon instead. i think DiG! confused everyone. of course BJM is on another planet entirely, but that's doesn't stop the dandys from having a bunch of sweet little tunes. maybe another thing is that BJM has never made a crap song, while dandys are very hit-or-miss.
