The Acoustic disc is really interesting, I like it. Some of the songs actually sound better that way, to me anyway. More people should do like this instead of releasing lots of "greatest hits" and "best of"s. Really smart, makes it worth buying if you got the other records.

i can't see any 'best of' in its name, this is 'greatest HITS', and 'hits' is a suitable word for 'popier songs', not 'best songs'. so stop arguing about this. it is, indeed, a good 'hits' collection, but not a 'best of' compilation.

I guess it depends on your definition of a good song. As far as popular / radio play tunes that list is probably right. The Cure's best songs musically are the darker, melloncollie numbers. Disintegration was the peak of their dark, heavy more gothic style. After that is seemed to get a bit light. I like all their music I just think the best songs are not the singles. I think A Forest and Pictures of You belong on any top 10 Cure list though.
