16 Aug 2007, 19:11 by leona-xI think this was previously a normal survey, so some of the numbers are missing and a lot of it doesn't make sense, but boredom can do that to a person.

I Think We're Alone Now
Being alone? Not really, no.

Just Like Heaven
That sounds wrong. I slept in my bed, honest. It was heavenly to have a good night's sleep though.

20 Apr 2007, 13:54 by Memmet_girlStep 1: Open up whatever MP3 program you use and add every song in your collection.
Step 2: Put it on random.
Step 3: Post the first line from the first 30 songs
that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 4: Post and let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 5: Bold the songs that someone guesses correctly.
Step 6: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
1. You let me violate you. You let me desecrate you.
2. Raise high monolithic statues so fragile as they fall.
Paper Airplanes (Makeshift Wings)
3. As the cries start to penetrate the still air.
4. Hello, hello, hello. Is there anybody in there?
5. A legacy so far removed, one day will be improved.
A Means to an End

7. Everyone makes one mistake, one more time for old times sake.
8. I fed the clues of a lost day, killed in motion
9. Mama, we all go to hell.
14 Feb 2007, 11:28 by gw666Tue 13 Feb – Eagles of Death Metal
I often underestimate the popularity of certain bands. One of them are the Eagles of Death Metal. I wouldn't have expected the Postbahnhof to be that crowded. I already knew them as openers of the last Queens of the Stone Age tour, so when a friend asked me to join her at the show I agreed.
First we had to wait in a long line at the coat rack while the first band Kamikaze Queens played. They are the former Sin City Circus Ladies and sound the same.
Next was The Spores, who started with something that reminded my of Puppetmastaz, the Berlin puppet hip hoppers. But later it became more a normal rock show. The only thing that was remarkable was a mashup of the lyrics to Should I Stay or Should I Go to the melody of Sound of Silence, very funny.
After an overly long break sexy boy Jesse and his pals finally entered the stage and the audience cheered. They played all their hits, it was a huge dancing crowd, although dancing for most people here means just jumping around. …

14 Jan 2007, 22:59 by mirrahSo, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, Creative Zen etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
Twentieth Century Fox. Hah, we're off to a good start. Am I driving down Sunset? Is this gonna be a romcom?
Everywhere. Oh, no, wait, I'm waking up to a depressing song. So my life's not a romcom. I knew it.
First Day At School:
The Yellow Ones. So I'm guessing in this scene my parents forget to pick me up from school ("I feel my head going down again")
Falling In Love:
Lizzie's Balloon. Nice. Smooth, sexy lounge song. Goodie.
Bare Necessities. Lol, who am I fighting with, Balloo?
To Ulrike M. This actually fits a break up scene. Hmmmm. A break up followed by binge drinking in various pubs, but, hey, that's not so bad.
8 Jan 2007, 23:24 by IvanArrowI was just downstairs playing Sandinista!, increasing the volume until the floor vibrated. My dad got it for me when I was 11 because he heard me mention The Clash once or twice and thought I should try out a full album. Previously, all I had was a compilation burnt off my friend's mom starting with Magnificent Seven, and I was hooked. It was all I listened to for a month straight before I got Sandinista, shocked to find out it actually belonged to something greater. I was fascinated by the cover inset filled with drawings and lyrics which spread out like a newspaper. I don't have it anymore; I stupidly threw out most of my old CD cases a few years ago when I thought all I needed was a place to keep the CDs.
The first few times I listened, I don't think I got past Something about England because I was going back to listen to Ivan meets G.I. Joe and Junco partner. All my friends raved about The Clash and how fantastic they were, but as I focused more and more on their music and brought songs up in conversation…

this is a work in progress. my favorite part of seeing any band live is not being able to anticipate the crazy antics that they will endulge in during their performance. most of all, i love when they play cover songs. and so, ive long been interested in collecting the cover and original versions of songs, and heres my list of what ive got and why theyre awesome (in no particular order). (to the music purists out there, i know that my "original" is not always the actual "original," and is just an earlier, or more popular, cover - shit happens, deal with it)
feel free to comment with your favorite covers.
