About this album

This CD is a recording of a concert that took place on 13th October 1982, Shea Stadium, New York.

The Clash toured the US supporting The Who in 1982. David Johansen (ex-New York Dolls) was also on the bill.

Topper Headon had been fired and was replaced on drums by Terry Chimes - the drummer on the band’s eponymous debut album. Terry joined Joe Strummer (vocals, guitar), Mick Jones (guitar, vocals), Paul Simonon (bass, vocals) forming the line up for the concert featured on this CD.

Think I prefer "From Here to Eternity", felt there's more energy and better song selection in Eternity, maybe I dont dig it because of the massive Shea Stadium venue and more of the "Superstars" image than the "Rebels" image, stil great album, maybe just have to hear it louder again....
