Biography

The City consisted of Carole King on piano/vocals, Danny Kortchmar on guitar/vocals, Charles Larkey on bass and Jim Gordon on drums. Carole King had been writing hit songs for others since the early 1960s and was just a year from launching a successful solo career. The City released just one album in their brief existence — in 1969.
