The Chocolate Watch Band

There were two bands with similar names but different spellings.

1. The Chocolate Watchband from the USA
2. The Chocolate Watch Band from the UK

If you are playing the American band, please suggest a spell correction to Not only would it fix the spelling, it would help differentiate between two bands.

Never coming close to a hit single , San Jose’s Chocolate Watchband nonetheless waxed some of the greatest fusions of The Rolling Stones’ sneering R’n’B and -- on their Ed Cobb-produced 1966-67 sides, particularly SWEET YOUNG THING, Are You Gonna Be There (At The Love-In), I AIN’T NO MIRACLE WORKER and MISTY LANE. An appearance in the exploitation flick Riot On Sunset Strip guaranteed some notoriety, but the band eventually dissolved after Jaggeresque lead singer Dave Aguilar left in late 1967.A cult classic the band remains a diamond from the 60s garage scene.

I sure wish would listen to suggested spell changes, but obviously they don't. "The Chocolate Watch Band" was a little known UK group. "The Chocolate Watchband" (one word) is the legendary US garage band.

they had roughly zero creativity and virtually no unique features, how exactly do you think they could have gone far?

Are You Gonna Be There (At The Love-In)...not a flowery invitation by Dave Aguilar but a snarling rage against conformity and mediocrity...great tune/great band

As strange as it may sound I think from 65-70 they never thought that something like lastfm would exist and that the correct spelling of their name would be such a big problem. And if they still don't give a crap about it, why should we? Let's just enjoy their stuff.
