Los Angeles, United States (2004 – present)

The Chapin Sisters, Lily & Abigail Chapin are known for pristine harmonies and haunting melodies that have gained comparisons to sixties girl groups, Appalachian family bands, and sister acts of old. Their songs and arrangements combine vocal elements of pop, blues, folk, and psychedelic rock.

Abigail and Lily are currently living in New York City and will release their newest record ‘A Date With the Everly Brothers’ on April 23rd, 2013. Listen to songs from this and other records at www.thechapinsisters.com

HISTORY

The band was founded in Los Angeles in 2004 as a trio featuring Abigail Chapin, Lily Chapin and their sister Jessica Craven. After the release of their first full-length record, the Lake Bottom LP in 2008, Jessica left the band to start a family. Abigail and Lily, now a duo, recorded and released the aptly titled follow-up Two to critical acclaim.

The Chapin Sisters spent 2010 touring the world with She & Him (M. Ward & Zooey Deschanel), pulling double duty as part of the band and performing nightly as the opening act.
