There is a theory that the most perfect music of your life will always come from the year that you were 12. I was 12 when this album came out.

So excellent. This album had one foot in the past (1950s rock) and one in the future. Hawkes plays so minimally, yet so creatively.

An album full of depressing, relatable songs about highly dysfunctional relationships loneliness and confronting personal demons which has been successfully disguised as power pop. The kind of music the average listener loves to sing along to without taking the time to think about what the songs really mean because it just sounds fun. I love it.

Great album, although I found Moving in Stereo quite boring at first.

My favourite album of all times and has been since the day I first heard it in '78. My only negative is that it's too short, but then again it fits from, umm, side to side. No songs to be skipped here. Everybody that I give this too that has never heard it falls in love with it. Timeless, and that's what it's all about.

Yes kids...Their self-titled debut was one of the best-selling albums of the 1970s, remaining on the Billboard album charts for over a year. They experienced a second wave of popularity in 1984 with Heartbeat city.....the MTV generation......One Word...well two.....The CARS.
