Squee! This was a BIG DEAL for me, since they were my First Favourite Band, and, since they'd long since broken up when I started listening to them, I NEVER figured I'd EVER hear new stuff from them. It's got all the energy & quirks of the old stuff, with a shiny sparkle & new Cars smell. ... Only drawback: I KNEW I was gonna miss Ben ... and I did, by the third track. (And the harmonies aren't what they were back with RTB, so it almost feels kinda like one of Ric's solo records. And I'd've liked bigger, punchier drums.) But everything else I fell in love with is there — I can go through and pick out which of the old songs each of these would sound best with. (^_^) ... It sure was surreal when I heard "Sad Song" in Stop & Shop late one night a few weeks after getting this, though.... (Though not NEARLY as surreal as when I heard "You Are the Girl" in CVS late one night — last summer.)

Another album - outrageous fortune! - fun as a sci-fi matinee -and still as American as dirt - my congratulations to all the esteemed members of The Cars. Excelsior!

Solid, catchy album that's true to its roots. It kind of feels like The Cars on autopilot at times, like they were careful to avoid wandering from their classic territory, but this is still better than I ever expected after 22 years and without Ben even. Full of solid rockers, too. I hope they continue making music and get a little more wild next time :)

Pretty awesome album. The Cars still got it and you wouldn't even know that it was released in 2011 by the sound and style. Great work guys!
