To reginarussell: That is kinda funny about the 'Hey Joe' comment except that Brian Johnstown Massacre aren't really all that young, and they have made their respect for JH known. So your comment kind of cancels itself out.

I really loved this song the first time I heard it, when it was called "Hey Joe". LOL and the "who who" is lifted from sympathy for the devil. It's SO sad that young people don't even know when they are hearing plagiarism.

I know Anton likes the Pretties, but can't think of any of their songs that this song is hugely like by them, although there is a huge resemblance in general and in many other songs by the BJM. May be seeing the Pretties next week!

The Whoooo bit is one of the most clever things i've ever heard. Great track. I'll have to check up on the Pretty things thing mentioned by the guy below like, as I am a massive Pretty Things fan. I'm sure if there is any similarity it was meant purely as homage to another great sixites sound.

the verse sounds a huuuuuuuuuge amount like a particular 60s track but i can't place which one. Maybe by the Pretty Things. To the extent of being a ripoff
