There are several bands using this name, a Detroit garage project (1) and a New York alt country band (2).

1) The Boomerangs were an attempt to cash in on the popularity of that crazy Detroit garage music. Sadly they failed… a few too many viewings of “This is Spinal Tap” skewed the band’s perspective.

Dan Mulholland, vocals, guitar, harmonica ( ex-Urbations, Watusies, Cyclones, Roadrunners, Witchdoctors, Stumpgrinders, Navarones, Stomprockets, Shanks…currently in Kentucky Chrome)
Adam Berg: drums (ex-Godbullies, Sounds of the Czars…currently in the Ypsitucky Colonels, They Never Sleep)
Tom “Sugar” Robbins: bass (ex-Ten High, Big Barn Combo…currently in the Ypsitucky Colonels)
R. Baker: guitar (ex-GKW, Urbations, Witchdoctors…currently in the Ypsitucky Colonels)

2) The Boomerangs are a band from Purchase, NY who recently released their first full length LP “Bridle the Gale”. Band members include:
