Rooted in the heavy pocket grooves of funky soul and jazz artists of past and present, the Boogie Hustlers have made their live performances well known in and around Pittsburgh PA. The band has just RELEASED their debut album entitled “122 Ellsworth”. The work of the past 14 months has come together in an incredible release for an independant artist, 12 original tracks whose soulful flavor enhances the positive and honest vocals by two frontmen. Drummer/producer Poogie Bell (www.poogiebell.com) has dedicated himself to the Boogie Hustlers album by fully producing each track of the “122 Ellsworth” LP. The Boogie Hustlers, a product of Pittsburgh only since 2003, have been awarded reputable shows for their diverse and funky brand of music carried out and highlighted by energetic performances. Performances with Soulive, Gov’t Mule, Vince Welnick, Jerry Garcia Band, Oteil Burbridge, the legendary guitarist Melvin Sparks, The 10th Annual All Good Festival lineup, and others have attracted a large fanbase for the Hustlers.
