The Black Heart Procession (occasionally spelled The Blackheart Procession) is an indie rock band from San Diego, California. The band was formed in 1997 by Pall Jenkins (member of Three Mile Pilot, Mr. Tube And The Flying Objects and the short-lived Ugly Casanova) and Tobias Nathaniel (also of Three Mile Pilot). The group is often augmented by the contributions of Mario Rubalcaba, Jason Crane, Joe Plummer, Dimitri Dziensuwski Jimmy LaValle, and Matt Resovich.

So hey, "the black heart procession", that's a killer band name, really fits with the music. I am a huge fan of the between the machines 7", the letter, voiture en rouge, release my heart, the fix, three mile pilot, ugly casanova, and whatnot. Really original style, I hope they keep on keeping on. The part about being a cat in that blood bunnies song really reminded me of that flaming lips song called I can be a frog :-P

Yes indeed, the 1st 3 albums are golden. Amore Del Tropico was interesting, then it sort of went downhill... matter of opinion of course. The Spell and Six are almost completely uninspiring. I pretty much gave up... Then suddenly the very last (Blood Bunny) amazed me with a new promise - a VERY interesting direction, a glimmer of new hope...
