Biography

There are two bands called The Bitters.

1. The Bitters are Ben Cook/Young Governor and Aerin Fogel, oily lotion and tanned croons out of an east-end astronomical underground society. Formed pissing on tigers and wintry road trips to elven hollows, maintained being/drinking bitter(s) about the average human lifestyle. More noises and melodies will appear shortly, in the meantime eat a lamb burger.

2. Forged from the bowels of the Las Vegas rock scene in the fall of 2003, guitarist Jeff Murphy, bassist Vinny Moncada and drummer Frank Klepacki formed The Bitters: an instrumental power trio whose sole purpose is to exist in a state of self-indulgant musical freedom. Their unique chemistry is a blend of diverse musical backgrounds drawn from old school metal, progressive rock, and early 70’s jazz/fusion. The Bitters music is powerful, aggresive, and hard-edged with an average song length of about two and a half minutes. (c) http://www.thebittersband.com/

Sounds like the guy from Trust is on the track "Trapper". I'm assuming this because the dude has a distinct voice and both artists are from Toronto. I don't think I'll ever find out for sure though, ugh.

There are two bands called The Bitters. I guess this is the one that would be of interest to Best Coasties (not the one "forged from the bowels of the Las Vegas rock scene").

@summervillain You my friend are a dumb ass/retard to the max google exist you know? try it. both albums are under the same band...besides ingrate talk, i don't think any other band comes this close to the bitters (canada) they invoke so many aspects 80s goth/punk, early 90s l.a gutter trash. everyone of their albums are gems. it's a crime that their so unappreciated.

So one band called "The Bitters" released a single titled "East" the same year the other one released an album titled "East General"? No, nobody's gonna get confused by that...

how do I get these guys to stop showing up in my playlist? I hit ban track every time, but they keep coming back... there's no reason they should show up in "Best Coast" radio. I agree with ericarenee, they get in every station for some reason, but I know that I legitimately hate them.

i can't even tell if i legitimately hate this band or if my opinion is clouded by the fact that this band, without fail, interjects itself into whatever radio station i'm listening to - no matter how inappropriate it is. is someone in this band giving free hand jobs to employees at last.fm?

every review of this album: i thought this was going to be all limp and fey and twee, but it turns out the band is a little bit menacing! oh no! all the songs should have sounded like the one song on the album that didn't scare me!

I see some ambivalence with the new album on the board. this review pretty much sums it up. http://spectrumculture.com/2010/05/the-bitterseast-general.html
