D-tecnoLife was the second opening theme to Bleach. I loved the song and sought out more of their music, which at the time was very little (on a major label and thus available, that is). They've kinda disappointed me since but still have lots of great songs, and come up with new great ones every now and then too.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Czesław Śpiewa)
That would have been either Ucieczka z Wesołego Miasteczka or Maszynka do świerkania, depending on whether I listened to the lead single before getting the album; I forget. Either one would have been enough to completely win me over, though.
3. What is your favorite lyric by 29? (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Hah, tough one: no matter what, it'd be off of Stadium Arcadium, though. There's "you're talking like a lady but you're walking like a sauerkraut" from Storm in a Teacup, or "I saw you there so unaware / those hummingbirds all in your hair" or "right on the verge…

1 The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico
One would be hard pressed to name a rock album whose influence has been as broad and pervasive as The Velvet Underground and Nico. While it reportedly took over a decade for the album's sales to crack six figures, glam, punk, new wave, goth, noise, and nearly every other left-of-center rock movement owes an audible debt to this set. While The Velvet Underground had as distinctive a sound as any band, what's most surprising about this album is its diversity. Here, the Velvets dipped their toes into dreamy pop ("Sunday Morning"), tough garage rock ("Waiting For The Man"), stripped-down R&B ("There She Goes Again"), and understated love songs ("I'll Be Your Mirror") when they weren't busy creating sounds without pop precedent. …

1.How did you get into 23? I Am The Avalanche, I was a senior in high school and fell in love with the catchy teen angsty sounds of "Green Eyes"
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 46?My Head Is in the Sun
3. What's your favorite lyric by 33? Neutral Milk Hotel. Pretty much all their lyrics, they don't just have one liners, but goodness in the entirety of the song. But my fave is: "And your mom would stick a fork right into daddy's shoulder
And dad would throw the garbage all across the floor
As we would lay and learn what each other's bodies were for" from King of Carrot Flowers Part 1
4. How did you get into 49? Paul Westerberg. I got on this big Replacements kick winter break of 2009/2010. And it led me to adoring Westerberg's lyrics and style.
5. How many albums by 13 do you own? Vampire Weekend. I believe they only have two full albums: They only have two Contra and the Self titled album.
3 Jun 2009, 11:05 by LlorenzaThe Beatles - The Beatles
Aha, here are The Beatles again. Slowly falling apart. This album is a collection of songs made by John Lennon, songs made by Paul McCartney, a few songs made by George Harrison and even one by Ringo Starr. Reading the story about this album is learning the story of songs recorded without all of the other band members even knowing about it (Julia, Why Don't We Do It in the Road?,...) and there's only one song on which John Lennon and Paul McCartney sing together (Birthday). Out of 30 songs! The result is an album that has a lot of variation from the beginning to end. And as all songs have a Beatles stamp on them, this doesn't lower the coherence.
It is said about this album that it somehow marked the end of the psychedelic era, the Beatles coming back with their feet on the ground. But concluding this is a regular pop/rock album would be wrong. There is a great variation in styles, and the boundaries The Beatles are trying out reach even further than on Revolver. …
