    Just realized today how much "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" sounds like "Oh, You Beautiful Doll" by the American Quartet from 1912. I think what I'm hearing in both is the musical influence of ragtime.

    Ahhh what to say and what to keep hidden. John described the track as "more of Paul's granny music" and as such mooned Paul while he was recording the vocals (1:21). Get that pic stuck in your head's Beatles fans. Besides that, it should be on your mix tape of fun ditties about bludgeoning people to death.
